Turquoise
The name Turquoise means “Turkish Stone” because it was brought to Europe by the Turks during the Crusades. However, this stone, originally from Persia, was called “Ferozah” or “Firuze,” which meant “victorious.” This stone, which can be found in various forms of blue, is most often found in arid and desert environments.
The Egyptians used it in fashion and decoration. Archaeologists have found this stone in tombs in the form of bracelets on the arms of mummies. The famous mask of the Pharaoh Tutankhamun was also adorned with turquoise stones, believed to provide protection.
The Aztecs made magnificent mosaics and masks with this stone. They believed that turquoise was too powerful to be worn by humans and that only the gods were worthy of it.
Native Americans used it for its healing properties, treating scorpion stings and snake bites.
For Tibetans, Turquoise was a symbol of courage, devotion and benevolence.
It allowed depressed people to move away from negative thoughts.

Lithotherapy invites you to discover benefits such as purification, healing, or calming through stones and their energies. However, like all wellness and spirituality products, the use of natural stones in no way replaces the advice of a healthcare professional and cannot replace medical treatment. Only your doctor has the skills required to diagnose a possible pathology and make the appropriate prescription. This information relates to the traditional properties of stones in lithotherapy as indicated by numerous reference works.
